HORSIE NIGHT

Thank you to everyone that turned up on Saturday night to support the club. Was a huge success with about 90 keen punters eager to win some money. Ralph yet again was in fine form with his very fashionable red trousers leading the punters to outbid each other for horses. A new idea was put forward by Ralph to buy a horse cheaply at the cost of a dare. First off came 25 press ups by a capital 15 player, James had to skull three cups of coke with his hands behind his back kneeling on the floor. Lastly 4 womens players had to do 8 sits up each. Well done to everyone who gave it a go, great fun. Thankfully this time round their was no show of men in uniform. (yes I know ladies some you may like this).

A special mention to 1st, 2nds, Undertakers, Halfbaked and Wainui Ziggy'z for packing out the clubrooms. Also to Wainui Bakery once again for supplying us with some yummy food for supper.

Hope to see you all again at the next function....

5Aside Tournament

Firstly a big thank you to Willie Ward, David Meiklejohn, Jamie Patmore and Dean Cutter for organising such a great day.

Their ended up being 8 teams which consisted of a kids team as 1 team pulled out at the last minute and two ladies teams. The day was played in great fun and some skilled football was played.

Thank you to everyone that came along and supported this event we couldn't have done it with out you.

The winner of the day was JONES GIANTS once again, the team is Colin and Steven Jones, Sean and Jarred Kelly, Adam Smith, Dean Cutter and Shane Carey.

 Start of the season function

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, doors are open the sun is shinning and the music man arrives to set up the system. Sitting back in the club and having a beer with music going in the background, we didn't want to leave but Adam and myself had to get ready for what hopes to be a great night. Josh and Dave stay behind and look after the ones who don't have a home to go too.

The night went well with everyone enjoying the free shot at the door, well done Josh's Dad for the yummy shots (we will keep you on). The partiers enjoyed them so much that Dave and Josh came up with a brilliant plan to make more money, shots at $3. Poor froggy had too many of these yummy shots and ended up being driven home by our great club taxi Lynda, even though he told his womens team not to make it a big night as we have Brooklyn in the morning he obviously thought that it was ok for him, oh well when the coach is away the girls will play.....

A great supper was put on by the Women's teams and the Wainui Bakery, once again thank you so much for your help Alan and Marie.

OK if you all havn't heard already yes we were shut down at 11.00pm by noise control, but a great night was had by all.  90 people packed out the clubrooms to get down to some great DJ music by Cameron and others. A special mention to the 1st, 2nds and Wainui Ziggy'z teams whose members came in numbers to support the night. A huge thankyou to Graham, Adam and Russell for the great service behind the bar and yes yes yes EFTPOS, also to Josh & Dave for being the door men/bouncers lol. I guess I should thank myself for bossing the boys around also, no really thank you to everyone that helped make this night a success.
